The Bench Warmer Hockey League is an adult beginner to low-intermediate hockey league at the Boss Ice Arena! The goal of the BWHL is to create an environment where adults in Rhode Island, who are learning to play hockey, can participate in an adult league without worrying about getting styled on by high schoolers, college players, and your local beer league studs.

 

The BWHL will be open to all beginner players who are 16 and up. Have a friend who is an experienced player that you want to drag along? They're welcome too. Just as long as they promise not to pull Michigans every chance they get. The BWHL is meant to be a fun, casual, experience aimed at beginners, so anyone who can respect that is welcome to skate.  IF YOU DO NOT PLAY RESPECTFULLY, YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE AND NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND.

For 2024, we will be expanding the BWHL! Depending on numbers, we will have teams of 10 which will be randomly chosen by the Boss Ice Arena. Standings will be recorded and displayed right on this webpage, and in the last week of the session, we will have playoffs to determine a BWHL champion. The champions will win the honor of having bragging rights!
